Enrolment open for Assembly election

Today, enrolment has opened for communities to elect the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria. You can enrol here

We are taking a step closer to Treaties.

The Assembly will be set up this year, and the Victorian Government has committed in law to work with it to take the Treaties process forward.

Enrolling to vote will mean that when voting takes place, between 8-21 July, Aboriginal communities can have their say on who is on the Assembly.

Every vote makes us stronger.

Every vote shows Australia what we can achieve.

Every vote brings us closer to achieving justice.

Enrolment is easy and can be done from a smartphone in about 5 minutes.

You can also enrol in person at one of our events over the coming months, or by visiting one of 12 Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations across the state hosting an Assembly Election Officer.  Check out our Facebook over the next few days to see where each Officer is based.

You can enrol to vote if you are a Victorian Traditional Owner or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander who has lived in Victoria for at least three of the last five years.
