The Treaty Advancement Commission has changed the venue of events in Bendigo next Monday, due to an increase in the number of people expected to attend.
The new venue is The Capital Theatre, at 50 View Street in Bendigo, for both the Aboriginal Community Gathering and the general meeting, to which everyone is invited.
"It's great that so many people want to talk treaty," said the Commissioner, Jill Gallagher.
"We're looking forward to some good conversations next week," she said.
The Commissioner's role is to set up the Aboriginal Representative Body, which will be the key voice of Aboriginal people in the next phase of the treaty process.
For more information about the events, see the events pages of the Commission's website.
Due to the nature of the treaty process, and the procedures to elect the Representative Body, the Commission holds dedicated events for Aboriginal people, in conjunction with events for the general public.
