Aboriginal Community Assembly

The Aboriginal Community Assembly involved 31 Aboriginal Victorians, resolving key decisions about the treaty process.

These included:

  • the legal form of the Aboriginal Representative Body
  • how it would be governed
  • how it would represent the community

In December 2017, the Community Assembly produced a full report to the Treaty Working Group on the issues referred to it.

The report can be accessed here.

The Community Assembly finished after the report was completed.
